1. How did you find the program? I first heard about the program through my fellow classmate Nolan Dresher and knew that Kevin Lin was also involved with it. One night I was just surfing the web and came across internships close to me and saw that Gallup was offering an internship called Get Hip. I saw that the deadline to apply was coming up soon, so I thought why not? I decided to apply and was thrilled to see an E-mail from Jodi in my inbox saying I was accepted.
2. On the first day we learned about a programming language called Java. I've programmed in C++, HTML, and CSS before and very little in Java so it was a fun learning experience. At first I felt lost and didn't know how I would do but as class progressed I felt that I was adapting and truly understanding it more. We also had pizza at the end and I got to know a few more fellow hipsters.
